Gujarat Tractor Limited(MGTL), an ISO 9001:2000 company, is a subsidiary of
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M). The company was incorporate in the state
of Gujarat on 31st March, 1978 in the name and style of Gujarat Tractor Corporate
Ltd. promoter by the Govt. of Gujarat. The company was taken over by
Mahindra & Mahindra holds 60% equity in MGTL and balance 40% is with the
Government of Gujarat (GOG). The company is engaged in manufacturing
of tractors which are marketed under "Shaktimaan" brand.
